About the artist

Kimberly Jordan was born in Pittsburgh, PA. After graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, she moved to Los Angeles, CA, where she now resides in Echo Park. Kimberly began her career as a graphic designer, creating everything from movie posters to dinnerware to children’s clothing.

After leaving the 9-5 workforce, she met a group of distinguished ceramic artists in Venice, CA. This encounter reignited her passion for clay, a medium she had loved since childhood when she played in the quarry red dirt on her family’s land in Virginia.

Kimberly’s work has evolved into a stunning collection of hand-carved mosaic installations, wall hangings, and traditional 4"x4" and 6"x6" tiles. Her aesthetic has been shaped by her travels, with a significant influence from her time in Spain, where she spent time with local artists who changed her perspective on the world.

Today, her canvas includes interior kitchen floors, fireplaces, exterior fountains, walkways, and pools. Her ceramic creations are known for their brilliant colors and whimsical themes. In addition to her ceramic work, Kimberly continues to express her creativity through paintings, drawings, and now writing a children’s book.
